How often should I clean my ducts?

NADCA recommends every three to five years for most homes. For Summerville, closer to three. Our clean uses negative-pressure source removal — we seal your HVAC system, attach a negative air machine to the main trunk line, and physically agitate every duct run while pulling contaminants out. This is the NADCA ACR standard. It takes three hours and uses truck-mounted equipment. The $99 clean is a twenty-minute visit.

Will this help my kid's allergies?

The honest answer is "probably, but no HVAC company can promise it." What we can say: we remove the allergens we can reach, and we remove a lot of them. Do I need to be home? How long does it take?

Someone eighteen or older needs to be there for the walk-through at start and end. Do you find mold? What happens if you do?

Occasionally, yes — usually on the coil or around a leaking condensate line. We'll show you the camera footage and explain what you're seeing. Surface mold gets treated with our EPA-registered antimicrobial fog as part of the standard clean. Heavier infestations need a licensed mold remediator, which we are not. We'll tell you the truth and refer you out. We don't sell you anything we can't deliver.

Can you do this if my HVAC system is older?

Usually, yes. If your ductwork is flex-duct from the 1990s or older and already deteriorating, we'll do a camera inspection first and walk you through what we see. If your ducts are too damaged to clean safely without tearing, we'll tell you before we start and apply your deposit toward a duct replacement quote from our sister crew. No wasted money.
